Observational drawing unit 75

This is a measured drawing of Jan. I found it very frustrating to get the correct measurements because I was only using a pencil. I'm very impressed with myself with the outcome.

Experimenting with thread

I was inspired to do this because I came across a woman called Eliza Bennett who stitched into her hand to represent "A woman's work is never finished". I was intrigued by her work so I wanted to experiment on my own hand and I found it quite relaxing.

Final Piece unit 85 No.2

My idea with this landscape painting to start with was to just capture the landscape in black and white, but I didn't think that it worked well so after researching some landscape artists, I found that adding colour to it will improve it, and it has. I couldn't decide between this painting and and my other painting for unit 85, but I've decided to use both as final pieces.

Final Piece unit 85

Alan Bickley inspired me to make this painting because of all the bold colours he uses. i wanted to experiment with his style and this ended up being my final piece.

Experiment for mixed media final piece

Here, I have been experimenting with a variety of mixed media to help me come up with a final piece to present to my tutors. It has information about poverty in Africa and I have also explained why I have chosen to do this, what I have used and how I have used it.
